This crawlspace had many intrusion points and air gaps where rodents were able to move in and out. This resulted in pine cones and destroyed insulation. We removed the debris and insulation. Then we sprayed a botanical disinfectant on all horizontal surfaces. To prevent the rodents from returning we screwed in blocks of wood to any larger holes, stuffed air gaps with copper wire mesh and spray foam. Lastly we encapsulated the earth and walls to shut down any ground water seepage & re-insulated the rim assembly to help prevent heat loss & save energy.
Rodents had chewed through the open vents, making this homeowners crawlspace a big nest full of pine needles and pine cones. We bagged & disposed of all the debris, unfortunately the rodents had destroyed all of the personal belongings the homeowner had stored there. Then we screwed wooden blocks over the vents, sealing them with copper wire mesh and spray foam. We also encapsulated the floor to the face of the footings, and added wall insulation. This is now a clean, warm, & bright storage space!
Remediating the mold & rodent infestation & installing a CleanSpace Crawlspace Encapsulation System to isolate the dust from the earth made all the difference for the entire health of this home. After a local HVAC company cleaned the ducts - the forced air heating system is pushing clean dry air throughout the house instead of moldy/rodent/dusty laced air from the crawlspace - Good Call!
Step 1 Professionally remediate mold from wooden structural elements.
Step 2 Apply EPA registered fungicidal coating to affected wooden structural elements.
Step 3 Encapsulate crawlspace with 20 mil cord reinforced liner - fastened and sealed.
Step 4 Enjoy a dry, mold free, healthy home!
This crawlspace needed rodent remediation, earth preparation, & CleanSpace liner installed to create that extra "Clean Space" for storage. Looks Good!
