After mold remediation, we were able to fully encapsulate the crawlspace with drainage matting, CleanSpace, and insulate/air seal the perimeter rim assembly with closed cell spray foam.
This crawlspace had a damp exposed Earth. We were able to encapsulate the floor and walls to help prevent mold.
The perimeter rim joist in this crawlspace needed minor mold remediation and closed cell spray foam - to insualte and air seal, a properly installed radon ready system - sealed to actively remove the radioactive gas, drainage matting - to protect the liner for a storage area, and the 20 mil CleanSpace liner over the ground and up the face of the footings - to prevent moisture from further evaporating and condensating & causing damage to the structure.
This house is one of a few original homes build in Vail. This property is going on the market, however it tested high for Radon. We were chosen to install the 20 mil cord reinforced CleanSpace Encapsulation System and air seal the perimeter rim assembly. We worked together with a local certified radon contractor to create an active Radon reduction system for a healthier home.
Ground water seepage can be very detrimental to the structure of the home - We caught this one just in time. We had to dry everything out with a heater, air movers, and negative air ducted outside to exhaust the moisture. We killed and removed the mold from the wooded structure. Then we applied an EPA registered fungicidal coating to the affected areas. We layed out drainage matting over the earth to allow any ground moisture and air to move freely under the liner. Lastly, we shut down the moisture in the crawlspace with the CleanSpace vapor barrier sealed around the perimeter and any seams.
